Project 1 Statement

The biggest thing to remember about digital art, is that it's everywhere and nowhere. Rarely have human's been able to make something from nothing, anywhere. I wanted to use that idea by taking it to a different place, unique perspective.

Sometimes doing that means the story; or the message is jumbled, but any good (and even bad artist) can appreciate the stories people tell of thier artwork. Its not always about succeeding it directly conveying THE story but letting viewers and the like make ANY story. Any story is worth remembering, no story, is never told.

I'd rather have any story, than none.

When i think about that story I think, what is the question being asked by the viewer. How will the diverse multitudes of people consider what i have made and even see what i have done (or not) and both can be art really. It also helps frame the story here: What is there a kid leaving (somewhere) to go to Earth? Earth is boring for humans, we've seen it all, but a alien has seen but a fraction of what can be seen and will always ask the questions we don't think to ask.

I think wondering about the questions an alien would ask, is also a fun idea, and couple that with how people would discuss what an alien would or wouldn't do it worth exploring. Why would a child come? Are they a child to that species? or an adult but small? Its a wondrous place to put yourself mentally because everything can be exciting again.

I don't think this art is for anyone, but its for anyone that wants to think about how people (or aliens) might view the most mundane of things, or the most exciting.
