Illustrator continues to be a remarkable pain in the ass. I find that these professional applications that are graphically heavy and generally “expert” to be a work in “understanding.
The tools rarely behave as requested, and often tend to ignore commands. I am aware it’s a workflow type system that adobe uses, but for anyone that isn’t steeped deeply in the how folks at adobe program, it’s a little ..difficult.
Adobe features a cloud save, however it tends to be a bit wonky with Illustrator. GIFS also don’t seem to remain GIF..y.
All in all, I have been frustrated a great deal by the software, but that’s OK because its learning and trying to reorganize a workflow. For the project I went with a story motif for my blue alien and his family… Or friends..or peers.
The story is him leaving his world, coming to Earth, meeting the president then discovering he loves ice cream. I originally wanted him to leave, but decided that would be a continuation, and this is a past recalling of his life, not a current biography of what he is and isn’t doing.
The PSD files are just the main points, Illustrator is focused on the characters, and the GIFs the in between parts. (So far)
